Behind the closed door
All the happy memories are hidden.
It's all in the past
And to go there I am forbidden.

I cannot go back.
I cannot change anything anymore.
The door's always closed
And my tears silently hit the floor.

My only wish is
To feel the true happiness once again,
To be loved once more
And forget about the sadness and pain.

Behind the closed door
Everything seems to be all bright and warm.
But I'm standing here
And all the time everything changes form.

Nothing stays the same.
Nothing ever stays as it was before.
But behind the door
There's standing the you I so much adore.

But we closed the door.
We both decided to go different ways.
Do you regret it?
Do you think of me as go past the days?

I do. Yes, I do.
You're on my mind before I go to bed,
When I close my eyes
All those memories flash in my head.

All those times with you –
Now they are all gone and lost forever.
And so the closed door
Won't let me see you not now, not ever.

Behind the closed door
I stand with my hand reached out to the past.
But I must move on
And let it stay behind me at last...
